The Cheshire and Warrington Sub-regional Programme Office (SRPO) was set up in 2011 following the reformation of Local Government. Its role is to support Sub-regional partners to deliver the ambitions set out by the Cheshire and Warrington Sub-regional Leaders’ Board.
SRPO is a small team which works equally for all partners and is hosted by Warrington Borough Council.
In promoting the Sub-region, as a whole, the SRPO manages a number of projects and programmes which help partners to work together more effectively. Activities include supporting the Cheshire and Warrington Sub-regional Governance arrangements and assisting the collaborative processes needed to performance manage against jointly agreed priorities.
